The story
Following the dramatic floods in Poland over the past two months, ARGO amphibious vehicles, staff of our company and volunteer firefighters from Ożarów Mazowiecki took part in the rescue operation in the flooded areas near Płock. All of us were actively involved, as volunteers, for several weeks in the rescue and relief effort across the extensive flooded areas.
The operation was carried out in many villages in the districts of Słubice and Gąbin: Świniary, Zyck Nowy, Zyck Polski, Rybaki, Piotrkówek, Juliszew, Nowosiadło, Troszyn, Sady, Nowy Wiączemin and Wiączemin Polski.
ARGO amphibious vehicles repeatedly proved themselves excellent for the work of the fire service and rescue services during the flood. They were used to evacuate residents and to deliver food, water and other essentials to people in flooded areas that could not be reached by any other means of transport. The light ARGO vehicles also carried sandbags to the flood embankments.
